Healthy Self Statements/Affirmations

  • Who I was does not define who I am
  • My dark past is my greatest asset
  • I am becoming my true authentic self
  • I am stronger than I give myself credit for
  • I am creating the life I want for myself
  • My voice is powerful and deserves to be heard
  • I have what I need inside of me to help me recover
  • I am not a burden to others if I ask for help/support
  • I’m doing the best I can with the tools I have
  • I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be
  • I am more than just a number on a scale
  • It’s okay to make mistakes, I am human
  • I am resourceful and have people who love and care for me

At first I struggled with coming up with a handful of positive statements.

After giving it some thoughts over the span of a few days I was able to come up with this list above.

It’s been helpful to read this list and sit with each statement.
